Make an appointment with our Wedding Flower Designer, Estelle Greenhalgh N.D.S.F. who has achieved the UK's top floristry qualification. With over 10 years experience in the wedding industry, her attention to detail ensures that the wedding theme is carried through from the bouquets to the venue.
Flowers can be used in a huge variety of ways for your wedding - sometimes in small quantities simply to reflect a theme, and sometimes in larger quantities to help set a theme.
What you decide to have will depend very much on your own personal taste and on how much you want to spend.
Below, you will find a small taster of the types and styles of arrangements we can make.
There are many more in our Wedding Design Book which you can see when you visit our premises.
We have 20 years of experience in designing wedding flowers and can offer you good, practical advice about the best way to achieve the effect you want.
What do we need to know?
Theme and Style of Wedding
What are the surroundings like for both the wedding service and the reception? Is it formal or informal? Classic or modern? What will the bridal gown look like? What mood are you trying to create? These are all vital clues that will help us to design an appropriate style for you.
How much have you to spend?
Obviously, you can't be expected to have a precise budget ready prepared but an approximate figure will help us to suggest appropriate types, styles and quantities of flowers.
The Colour Scheme
Are there any colours which you prefer to be included or avoided? What colour are the bridesmaids dresses - or the groom's waistcoat? If you have not purchased your bridal wear from us, please bring a swatch of material with you so that we can match up as closely as possible.
Shapes and Sizes
What age are the bridesmaids? How tall are they? Are there any other attendants to think about? (perhaps a page-boy or a matron of honour).
Hairstyles
If you or your bridesmaids are having flowers in your hair, your hairstyles may affect how the flowers can be fixed and what style of headdress is appropriate.
The Wedding Venue
How large is it? What is the lighting like? If the wedding is to take place in a place of religious worship, are there any particular customs or requirements that we should know about?
The Reception
How large is the room or marquee? Do you want table arrangements and, if so, how many? Do you want floral arrangements in the wedding cars?
The key is to keep us informed, so bombard us with as much information as possible!! The more we know about your plans, the easier it will be for us to give you exactly what you want.
A Final Thought
Flowers also make an ideal "thank you" gift - to mums, bridesmaids and anyone else who has helped you with your wedding preparations.
The hand-tied aqua pack bouquets are ideal for this purpose and, as with all your wedding flowers, you can arrange these through us.
Please, please don't order your wedding flowers until the last minute because you may be disappointed. Even the biggest florists can't manage many weddings on the same day and we are often booked up months in advance during the popular wedding months. You might also want an unusual type of flower that may have to be ordered in especially for you.
